At approximately 0951 hours, the Smithtown Fire Department is called to respond to a motor vehicle crash on Route 111. Units arrive to find that the operator of a late model Hyundai, had driven into the side of a commercial building at 359 Route 111 resulting in moderate damage to the building and to the building. There were no injuries. A Fire Marshal from the Town of Smithtown Department of Public Safety was called to the scene and in turn contacted the Town of Smithtown Building Department. All FD units cleared from the scene within 30 minutes.
