Centereach FD is called to early morning house fire in Farmingville

The Farmingville Fire Department is dispatched to a report of a house on fire at 128 Morris Avenue. Arriving units encounter heavy fire coming from a single story private dwelling. Due to a partial collapse, crews from Farmingville, Holtsville, Ronkonkoma and Selden Fire Departments operated from the exterior. The house, which is believed to have been under renovation, was a total loss. The Centereach Fire Department was requested for a RIT and Medford FD sent an engine to cover Farmingville for the duration of the incident.

There were no injuries and the origin and cause investigation is being handled by Fire Marshals from the Town of Brookhaven and Arson Squad Detectives from the Suffolk County Police Department.
