November 7, 1976. 1623 hours. Fire destroys the Paper Moon Night Club on Jericho Turnpike across from Wyandanch Blvd. Multiple Departments operated on scene and the two story building was a total loss. Second Assistant Chief Frank Seeberger was transported to St. Johns Hospital with a neck injury.
This was the second fire here. The first was 6 months prior (I am still looking for the date and details). The club was in operation at the time of the first fire, but never reopened. Both fires are deemed arsons.
