December 4, 1989. Joseph Andreoli, 72 passed away at St. Johns Hospital in Smithtown. A thirty year Smithtown resident, he is remembered for his outstanding contributions to the community. A former Chief and commissioner, he was a member of the Nesconset Fire Department for 25 years. Andreoli owned the Nesconset Ace Hardware Store. The Park on Gibbs Pond Road at Old Nichols Road now bears his namesake.
