Smithtown FD-Car fire on East Main Street

November 18, 2022. 1626 hours. The Smithtown Fire Dept. was dispatched for a car fire at 300 East Main St parking lot. Upon arrival of 2nd Asst. Chief Dan Dongvort, he immediately notified dispatch of a fully involved car fire. Rescue 4-2-9 was rerouted from another call to the scene. Engine 4-2-3 was on scene and quickly deployed the front trash line (aka The Shellock Load) and extinguished the fire. Also on scene was Engine 4-2-5, ambulance 4-2-61 and first responder 4-2-81.
