December 29, 2016. 43 Ridgewood Avenue. Fire reported at approx 0445 hours. East Brentwood had difficulty getting out. Commack sent a RIT, Brentwood sent and engine and a truck, Hauppauge sent an engine and they wound up laying in due to an improper hydrant hookup. Central Islip sent a truck and Smithtown sent an ambulance. The 1.5 story private dwelling was a total loss. There were no injuries.
