On Friday, December 30 at 1120 the Smithtown Fire Department was activated for a motor vehicle accident with subjects trapped. On arrival crews found a two vehicle crash with a subject trapped in one of the vehicles. Crews from 4-2-2, 4-2-4, and 4-2-9 extricated the patient by removing the driver’s side of the vehicle. Units operated for 35 minutes under the command of Chief Diecidue. Kings Park ambulance called in the MVA, assisted with patient care and transported one of two patients.
