January 28, 2023 2126 hours. The Setauket Fire Department is dispatched to 8 Fieldhouse Avenue in regard to a fireplace issue. Units arrive to find a chimney fire that appears to have extended to the attic space from the fireplace chimney. Two lines are stretched and were operated and the fire was quickly extinguished. Mutual aid was requested from the Terryville, Port Jefferson, Stony Brook, Selden, St. James, Nesconset and Centereach Fire Departments but some were cancelled. There were no injuries.
