Kings Park FD-Truck fire also damages building on Old Northport Road

October 3, 2019 0647 hours. The Kings Park Fire Department is dispatched to Pelkowski Precast Corp at 294A Old Northport Road in regard to a vehicle fire. Crews arrive to find a Freightliner port-a-john tank truck burning near a building. The fire is extinguished without incident and the face of the building is opened up to check for extension. Fire Marshals from the Town of Smithtown Department of Public Safety were called in to investigate. This was deemed an accidental fire. There were no injuries, the truck was a total loss. Th fire Department was back in service shortly after 9AM.
