Setauket FD-Honorary Chief James R. Smith laid to rest

On July 27, 2012, the Setauket Fire Department laid to rest Ex-Captain and Honorary Chief James R. Smith. Mr. Smith joined the fire department in 1963. He was a member of Engine Company 9 and the fire police unit for 48 years. Jim worked for the fire district for years and served many positions in the department including Captain and Department Secretary. RIP. Dennis Whittam has photos.
