March 15, 2023. 0446 hours. The Farmingville, Holtsville and Ronkonkoma Fire Departments are dispatched to report of a fire in an oil burner at 4 Spurwoods Lane in the Farmingville Fire District. Holtsville is first in and encounter a fire on the upper level of a two story private dwelling. The working fire is transmitted, adding mutual aid from the Coram for a truck and Medford Fire Department for a RIT. Two lines were stretched and operated. Searches were completed and negative. The fire was placed under control at 0532 by Farmingville Assistant Chief Calas and all units cleared from the scene at 0625. One civilian was treated at the scene by EMS.
