March 17, 2023 0809 hours. The Holbrook Fire Department is dispatched to 121 Schmidt Avenue rin regard to a reported garage fire. Units arrive to find fire venting from a ground level garage of a two story dwelling, with extension to the upper level.
Holtsville sent truck to the scene, Sayville RIT, Lakeland Engine, Bayport FD sent a RIT after Sayville was put to work, Ronkonkoma became the RIT after Bayport was put to work. Islip Town Haz-Mat responds to the scene as well. All visible fire was knocked down by 0835 hours. Blue Point sent an engine to cover. Islip Town Fire Marshals and Suffolk Arson Detectives are investigating.
