March 31, 2023, 0800 hours. The Central Islip Fire Department is called to respond to 44 Tamarack Street off Boulevard for a report of a house on fire. Arriving units transmit the working fire and stretch two lines into a single story dwelling. Mutual aid is requested from the Lakeland, East Islip and Islip Terrace Fire Departments at the scene. All visible fire was knocked down by 0830 and all units clear from the scene within 90 minutes. Hauppauge and East Brentwood Fire Departments sent units to cover.
