May 15, 2023, 1418 hours. The Islip Terrace, Central Islip and Wast Islip Fire Departments respond to a report of a house fire at 38 Juniper Street in the Terrace. Units arrive to find an active fire in the basement of a two story private dwelling. Crews had water on the fire quickly and the fire was placed under control within 30 minutes.
