February 9, 2011, 0339 hours. the Central Islip Fire Department was activated for a F.A.S.T to assist the Lakeland FD at a scene of a working house fire at 808 Johnson Avenue. Under the direction of 1st Assistant Chief Ed Freudenberg, the crew of Rescue 3-7-6 set up operations in front of the dwelling. Also requested was Central Islip’s ladder truck to assist in the suppression efforts. Eight people lived in the house at the time of the fire. Stephani England, 31, was found dead within the rubble on the ground level. Laura Caldara, 41, who also lives at the home, was transported to Stony Brook University Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. All units were returned to service after a few hours of working at the scene.p
