Nesconset FD-house fire on White Avenue

January 22, 1949 Fire destroys a tool shed on the property of Mr. Albert Heather at the corner of White Avenue and Sailor Street. Fire occurred in the afternoon. The Nesconset Fire Department responds but the building is a total loss. House on the property was occupied at the time by Mrs. Alice Gardiner who had just returned from a shopping trip when the fire was discovered. Smithtown News 1-27-1949.
