Chief DuJat joined the Central Islip Fire Department in March of 1950 as a member of Engine and Hose Company Number 2 and remained in active service until January of 1990. Roy DuJat was employed as a Chief Safety Officer with the New York State Department of Mental Hygiene. Chief Ducat was residing in Florida at the time of his passing. DuJat served at Chief of Department in 1966 and was a Commissioner from 1972-1982.
