August 26, 2023. Ex Chief James W. Trube Jr. passed suddenly at his home in Nesconset.
James Trube was born on July 7, 1954. He was loved and cherished by many people including his wife Diane Trube; his daughters, Jennifer Bannon (Nick), Jessica Millsap (Larry) and Christine Tyska (Dan); his grandchildren, Brielle, Everett, Brycen, Nolan, Kellen, Kinsley, Matthew and Evelyn; and his sister Theresa Trube. Trube was a member of the Nesconset Fire Department worked his way through the ranks to serve as Chief of Department in 1986-87.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 29th 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Fives Smithtown Funeral Home in Smithtown. A mass of christian burial was held Wednesday, August 30th 2023 at 10:00 AM at the Parish of the Holy Cross in Nesconset. A burial was held on Wednesday, August 30th 2023 at 11:30 AM at the Pinelawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale.
