August 25, 2023, 1433 hours. The Centereach Fire Department is dispatched to a report of a vehicle fire next to a house at 34 Marlin Road. Units arrive to find a van burning in the driveway adjacent to a two story dwelling. Crews extinguish the fire and prevent any extension to the house. Fire Marshals from the Town of Brookhaven are investigating.
