September 8, 2023, 0746. The East Islip Fire Department is dispatched to an odor of smoke at 15 Brook Place. Units arrive, force entry and find a fire in the basement of a private dwelling. The Bay Shore Fire Department sent a FAST and Central Islip sent a truck to the scene. The fire was placed under control within 30 minutes. Pics from GroupMe.
