02/02/21 2328 hours. The Deer Park Fire Department was activated for a structure at 104 Haight Street. Upon arrival units were confronted with heavy fire conditions on all levels of a two story private dwelling. Units 1-4-7 and 1414 attempted an offensive attack but backed out of the building due to a partial collapse. Master streams on Quint 1414 and Tower Ladder 1410 were put into operation. Although all of the occupants had safely evacuated, one civilian was injured and transported to a local hospital. Deer Park FD operated with three engines, their Quint and their Tower Ladder, two Ambulances, two Chiefs and three Safety Officers. Dix Hills FD sent a RIT and the Wyandanch Fire Co sent an engine to cover. Babylon Town Fire Marshals and the Suffolk Arson Squad are investigating. Photos by Brian Thomas via Deer Park FD Facebook
