November 5, 2023, 1813 hours. While returning from two other alarms, the Central Islip Fire Department was alerted of a report of a structure fire at 138 Wheeler Road. Units arrive to find a pile of clothing burning in front of Dirtbusters Laundromat and smoke pushing from the building from a dryer fire. A booster line was stretched in and the fire was quickly extinguished. The CI Fire Marshal handled the investigation.
