November 12, 2023, 0120 hours. The Hauppauge Fire Department responds with Central Islip-Hauppauge Ambulance to a report of a motor vehicle accident on the Long Island Expressway. Units arrive to find that a 2018 Honda Accord left the roadway, landing in the wooded area on the westbound side, just east of the Motor Parkway overpass. The vehicle caught fire, but the occupants were able to self extricate with only minor injuries.
Hauppauge operated with two engines and a quint. The vehicle was a total loss. 3-8-40 photos.
