February 4, 1995 Fire reported at 0345 hours. Three classrooms in the kindergarten section were destroyed, 8 other classrooms were damaged. Arson squad states that the fire started in the middle classroom and there was no evidence of a break in. Fire was during a snowstorm. Damage was extensive in one wing of the school, which is located at 299 Lilac Lane. 2-9-1995 Smithtown News
