February 11, 2019 1720 hours. The Centereach Fire Department responds to 17 Minerva Lane for a reported house fire. Units arrive to find heavy fire venting out of the upper level and through the roof of a two story wood frame home. Crews stretched two lines into the house and an additional line to protect a boat and a garage that the fire was impinging on. The fire was brought under control within an hour. Crews remained on scene until approximately 1920 hours. The cause of the fire is under investigation. There were no injuries. Selden and Ronkonkoma FD sent units to the scene.
