March 2, 2018 Occupants of 21 Walter Drive call 911 at 2230 hours reporting smoke and fire on the 2nd floor. Nesconset FD arrives and confirms an active fire on the upper level of a two story converted bungalow. 3 lines are stretched and two operate. The fire is quickly extinguished. There are no injuries and damage is confined to the upper level. Mutual aid from St. James (engine), Ronkonkoma (engine), Centereach (RIT) and Lakeland (ladder). This fire occurs during a Nor’easter.
