October 1, 2018 Hauppauge Engine 4 firefighter Steve Matteo received the Islip Town Fire Chiefs Association Medal of Valor for his part in the rescue of an adult male trapped in a traffic collision with vehicle fire on Townline Road on 7-19-2017. Congratulations Steve.
