Smithtown FD-Fire at St. Patrick’s Church

March 3, 1985 Fire guts a double classroom and causes extensive smoke and water damage to the complex. Fire reported at approximately 2020 hours. Fire damaged a science room a meeting room and a music equipment storage room. Tom Buffa is Chief of Department. Fire placed under control within 30 minutes and all units cleared from the scene at 2145 hours. School resumed on Wednesday the 6th. Smithtown News 3-7-1985
