Setauket FD-Fire at Jefferson Ferry

January 18, 2020 1039 hours. Setauket Fire Department responds to an activated fire alarm at the Jefferson Ferry Community Center on Jefferson Ferry Drive. Units arrived to find smoke pushing from the basement of the building. Numerous ambulances were requested from the surrounding departments. Crews made entry into the building and found that the fire had been extinguished. The area was overhauled and secured for the Fire Marshals and the building was cleared of smoke. There were no injuries.
