September 29, 2018 1630 hours. The Holtsville Fire Department is dispatched to a structure fire at 971 Waverly Avenue. Units arrived to find a fire at the Winters Brothers Carting Company. Mutual aid was immediately requested from Lakeland (engine), Ronkonkoma (ladder), Holbrook (ladder) North Patchogue (RIT), Farmingville (engine) and Medford to cover. The fire was quickly knocked down. There were no injuries.
