Hauppauge FD-Commercial building fire on Calebs Path

April 11, 2018, 0517 hours. Hauppauge Fire Department is dispatched to a water flow alarm at Glaro Incorporated, 735 Calebs Path off Old Willets Path. Units arrive to find the sprinkler system operating and smoke pushing out of the building. Crews entered the building and found a high pressure oil fired boiler burning. A two and one half inch hand line was stretched and the fire was extinguished. Mutual aid was requested from Smithtown, Nesconset and Brentwood but all were cancelled while en-route. The Town of Smithtown Fire Marshals office and the Hauppauge Fire District Fire Marshals are handling the investigation.
