Nissequogue FD-Member saves man on LIRR train

March 28, 2018 Nissequogue FD EMT Kevin Bartsch is a conductor for the MTA. While his Coney Island bound F train was in the Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue Station, passengers alerted him to an adult male that was slumped over and unconscious.

Bartsch accessed the subject and found that he was in cardiac arrest. Bartsch alerted his dispatcher via radio and began CPR. He was joined shortly thereafter by a FDNY EMT. Together they were successful in restoring the victims pulse and respiration’s. The victim was transported to the hospital by FDNY ambulance.  Kudos to EMT Bartsch for a job well done.
