February 5, 2018 At approximately 0400 hours, the Terryville Fire Department was dispatched to a reported house on fire at 5 Clematis Street in Port Jefferson Station. Arriving units encountered heavy fire venting from an occupied single story private dwelling. A quick check confirmed that all of the occupants were accounted for and crews pushed in on the fire. Mutual aid was requested from Mt. Sinai, Port Jefferson, Setauket and Selden FD at the scene and the Coram Fire Department sent an engine to cover Terryville for the duration.Fire Marshals from the Town of Brookhaven are handling the origin and cause investigation.
