February 4, 2018 1115 hours. The Stony Brook Fire Department is dispatched to a report of a house fire at 29 Woodbine Avenue off Dogwood Road. Units arrive to find active fire in one of the walls with wires down and burning outside. A working fire was transmitted bringing Setauket FD to the scene with an engine, ladder and an ambulance and the St. James Fire Department with a RIT. Crews made quick work of the fire, all searches were negative and all units cleared from the scene within an hour. The Brookhaven Town Fire Marshals Office is handling the origin and cause investigation.
