November 19, 2017, 1647 hours. The Ronkonkoma, Nesconset and Farmingville Fire Departments were toned out for a reported house fire at 43 Center Street in the Ronkonkoma Fire District. Units arrived and found heavy fire venting out of a single car garage attached to a two story private dwelling. Crews stretched and performed VES, finding that the fire had extended into the house. The fire was quickly knocked down and placed under control. Ronkonkoma FD’s 30 (Blewett) was the OIC. Mutual aid was provided as follows: Centereach ladder to Ronko and ambulance to the scene.
