May 30, 2022. 0846 hours. The Commack Fire Department is dispatched to a report of an electrical outlet smoking at 9 Raven Drive. Units arrive to find smoke pushing from the house and fire showing. Two lines are stretched and operated. The fire was knocked extinguished at 0901 hours and placed under control at 0910 hours. Two subjects were transported by Commack Ambulance with smoke inhalation. Hauppauge sent a RIT, Smithtown sent an engine to cover for the duration. Smithtown Fire Marshals are handling the investigation. Photo by Jack O’Laughlin.
