June 15, 2022, 0053 hours. The Islip Terrace Fire Department responds a report of a house fire at 352 Cedarhurst Street in North Great River. Units arrive to find a dryer on fire in a two story private dwelling. Firefighters made quick work of the fire, keeping extension to a minimum. The Central Islip Fire Department sent an engine to cover for the duration. Islip Town Fire Marshals and Suffolk Police Arson Detectives are investigating.
