Bill introduced to pay volunteers to take time of and train

June 27, 2002. Congressman Felix Grucci introduces legislation designed to encourage volunteerism and support businesses that allow employees time off to train. 2002. The legislation would give employers a tax credit of $100.00 per day for a maximum of $1,000 annually for each employee who takes time away from their job for qualified training. Bill is known as HR 4839. Not sure if it ever came to be.
