Nesconset FD-Fire at the Rock Lobster Restaurant

July 4, 1994 Fire reported at 2128 hours by a homeowner on Cambon Avenue. The building was vacant at the time. Greg Anderson was Chief of Department and was first due, with a heavy fire condition in the building with the fire venting out the front and through the roof. Mutual aid was requested from St. James and Smithtown to the scene, Hauppauge to cover. The fire was extinguished by midnight. Arson and Town FM’s on scene. Building had been vacant for approximately 2 years at the time of this fire. This was the second fire in this building. The first was on December 30th shortly after it closed in 1992. This location is now the St. James Funeral Home.
