July 7, 2022. 1336 hours. The Hauppauge Fire Department responds to a vehicle fire on Veterans Highway, just east of Lincoln Avenue (extreme west end of the fire district). Units arrive to find a 2018 BMW M4 burning on the shoulder of the Eastbound lanes. The fire is extinguished without incident. There were no injuries but the vehicle was a total loss.
