Lakeland FD-three subjects rescued from Lake Ronkonkoma

July 24, 2022. 1720 hours. The Lakeland and Nesconset Fire Departments respond to Lake Ronkonkoma in regard to multiple subjects in the water after their sailboat flipped over. Suffolk County Lifeguards working at the beach were able to remove two adults and a child from the water. The subjects were evaluated by medical personnel at the park (old Bavarian Inn) on the north side of the lake. None were transported. Suffolk PD had multiple units on the scene including a helicopter with rescue divers.
