Doug was an Ex-Chief of the Terryville FD, a retired detective of the Suffolk County Police Department, and a Marine veteran who served in Vietnam. He was a longtime volunteer at Steamtown National Historic Site and a member of the United Fire Company. Doug spent his life in service to others; if you were lucky enough to know him, you know that he did so with a smile and a sense of humor. Doug was the kind of guy that made you feel that you were lifelong friends every time you spoke. He was a great man who had a wealth of knowledge and experience, yet didn’t have the ego to go with it, a rare combination.

A Private service was held at the family’s convenience. Arrangements were through the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, 232 South Main St., Montrose, PA 18801.

Personal Note: RIP Doug. You were one of the first arson detectives that I worked with when I came on the job. Your patience and willingness to share your knowledge made me a better investigator. You were a gentleman and will be missed.
