August 20, 1946 St.James FD handles a fire in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bryson Davis on the Only estate. The fire is believed to have started in an oil fired water heater and extended out into a laundry area. Mr. and Mrs. Davis fought the fire until the FD arrived. The house sustained serious damage. 8-22-1946 Smithtown News.
