July 28, 2011 24 Woodvale Lane. House owned by the Malloy family. This was a two story house that was completely gutted. Two propane tanks exploded during the fire. The 3 occupants safely evacuated the house and were not injured. Reports are that the fire started in the bed of a pickup truck and extended to the house. Three vehicles were also destroyed. Fire was reported at 0213 hours. Greg Fagan was Chief of Department and the OIC. Mutual aid from Smithtown, Commack, Northport, East Northport and the Hauppauge FD. Smithtown Fire Marshals are investigating.
