September 16, 1980. Fire reported at 0142 hours. FD arrived to find heavy fire throughout the historic Raymond L’Hommedieu house. At the time of the fire, the building was being used as an antique shop. St. James FD assists at the scene. Fire was right near the Smithtown Library.
