Centereach FD deals with a house fire on Piedmont Court.

1914 hours. Centereach Fire Department is responds to 8 Piedmont Court in regard to a structure fire. Units arrive to find an active fire in a two story wood frame private dwelling. Two lines are stretched while crews searched for seat of the fire. The fire was extinguished without incident. Crews opened up to check for extension and ventilated the house. Mutual aid was provided by the Selden, Ronkonkoma and Farmingville FIre Departments. There were no injuries. Crews remained on scene for approximately 90 minutes. The Red Cross was contacted to assist with relocating the displaced occupants. Fire Marshals from the Town of Brookhaven are handling the investigation.
