1205 hours. The Smithtown Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a subject with a broken ankle at Blydenburgh Park. After locating the victim deep within the park, they were packaged and removed to a waiting ambulance. This was an extended operation as crews had to first reach the subject, package them and then walk them out of the park. While operating at this incident, a caller reported a dumpster fire on Redwood Lane. That fire was quickly extinguished without incident.
