1157 Hrs. Vehicle Fire at 601 Veterans Highway. A 2015 Ford F-350 owned by the Suffolk County Water Authority had just been parked when the operator noticed a fire in the engine compartment.

Engine 3-8-14,3-8-3 operated under the direction of of Captain Mooney. Neither the chlorine on board or the compressed natural gas tanks that alternately fuel the vehicle were affected. There were no injuries.
